Life after ‘Game Of Thrones’

Are you going to be catching any of these HBO series?

Game of Thrones is done and dusted for good. Needless to say, the eighth series of the once highly acclaimed show caused many controversies, from the writing to accidental Starbucks cups. Most of us were probably wondering if the network will take a step back from TV shows post-GOT hiccups, but Home Box Office announced and teased some of its future series already. And, we have all the details

An untitled GOT Prequel

HBO recently announced a prequel to GOT, set thousands of years before the story-that-we-know commences. There is no official title yet, but some cast members are announced, including Naomi Watts and Jamie Campbell Bower. Yass, please!

Release date – to be announced

His Dark Materials

Based on the beloved books under the same name, this fantasy series is a joint production of HBO and BBC. It will feature magical creatures called daemons (where my booklovers at?) and a fab cast including James McAvoy, Ruth Wilson and Dafne Keen.

Release date – mid or fall of 2019

Watchmen is set in an alternative reality where heroes are treated as outlaws. Based on the beloved comic series, this show will star Regina King and Jeremy Irons. The teaser is out and we can’t stop clicking the replay button!

Release date – to be announced

HBO’s attempt of targeting the YA crowd, Euphoria stars the-one-and-only Zendaya with Drake as the producer. The show will be about how youth deals with coming of age problems. The trailers look amazing and we cannot wait!

Release date – June 2019

The Righteous Gemstones

The night is not always full of terrors after all. Bringing some humour to the table, The Righteous Gemstones is a comedy show about a world famous televangelist family. The cast includes Danny McBride and Adam Devine.

The upcoming HBO shows look promising and our faith is renewed. What about you? Let us know in the comments below!
