5 Everyday Tips to be More Eco-Friendly

Avoid eco-sins in 5 easy ways

Pollution is problem, period. It takes many forms such as land, sea and noise with serious consequences. We’re at a time where pollution is at its highest, and being proactive is imperative. “I already know all this, but how can I make a change?” you may ask. Fear not! By following these easy-peasy tips, you can contribute towards significantly preserving mother earth.

Tip 1: Unplug devices, even when the device is switched off

Did you know that devices continue to use electricity even when they are switched off? Unplug your device from the socket when they are not in use to reduce energy consumption.

Tip 2: Carry a pocket-friendly cloth bag for shopping

If you can carry your phone anywhere, you shouldn’t have an excuse stopping you from carrying a foldable cloth bag. That’s right! It only takes a few seconds for you to be more environmentally conscious.

Tip 3: Buy Local

Buying local means you reduce the large volumes of fuel used for transporting products. Plus, it also helps our local businesses to thrive. Win-win.

Tip 4: Stop Smoking

Cigarette butts contain harmful chemicals for the environment. To add to that, they’re rarely disposed of correctly.  Another reason to say ‘no’ to smoking!

Tip 5: Eat Less Meat

Did you know that 100g of beef produces around 100kg of greenhouse gases?  Geez! They also cause massive deforestation all over the planet. Try reducing meat and dairy consumption for a healthy lifestyle and a healthy planet. (For a bigger impact, try being a vegetarian or vegan).
