We cannes stop staring!
The French Riviera festival, which is in its 72nd year, witnesses the best in style while honoring the films from all around the world. This year on the red carpet, major fashion houses like Balmain and Valentino brought their A-game with their show-stopping couture dresses, and an interesting collab between H&M and Giambattista Valli. And, of course as per the usual, our fave celebrities turned up the heat and did not disappoint! Here are the best of what we saw at Cannes 2019:
The songstress pretty much looked like the dancing lady emoji in a ruffled orange-red Valentino dress with dramatic feather work on every inch of the outfit.
The 30-year-old Canadian model is famous for her couture looks on the runway, and at Cannes, she lived up to her reputation with a high-low gown.
The recently-single model wore a bubblegum pink tulle gown from the Giambattista Valli x H&M collection which led to a sea of Instagram posts drooling over this chic look!
Elle Fanning went all out in her go-to feminine way and looked pretty in a floral voluminous Valentino dress. On another red-carpet moment at Cannes 2019, she wore a bow-tied shirt and flared tulle skirt with an eccentric hat. She looked hella chic!

The British-French actress and singer, and the face of Saint Laurent, brought out the fierce spirit of the brand in a mini statement dress with zebra print, and we can’t think of a better look for a girl’s night out!
The I Can’t Get Enough star made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival in a silky Louis Vuitton ensemble featuring a cropped silk bustier and a quilted high-slit skirt. Oh so fancy!
Veering away from the usual, the star flaunted an iconic Dior tuxedo jacket that showed off her legs and her great taste in androgynous fashion.
She was dressed right at the Rocketman premiere in her sparkling dress and leggings combo. Not the easiest ensemble to pull off, but she did it so well!
Deepika Padukone’s Giambattista Valli number stole the show and gave us every reason to flaunt a turban, no matter the occasion.
The supermodel served up lewks in a subtly glimmering LBD by Saint Laurent.
Our ever-favorite fashion icon knows how to make a statement in just about anything, and in this white Ralph & Russo tuxedo, she only did better! Also, we loved how the cape seamlessly completed the elegant ensemble.
The Russian model gave out some black-tie wedding inspo with a cut-out sequined embellishment that was a sheer beauty!
The 66-year-old star impressed in a figure-hugging iridescent dress that’ll make you want to recreate your own version for a ritzy evening affair.
Baby blue + shimmer gives you one heck of a sophisticated red carpet outfit! Add an asymmetrical cut like the Russian supermodel and you are good to go! And we love this almost-veil-situation!
The ever-stylish Victoria’s Secret model gave out black swan vibes in her fascinating Giorgio Armani Privé strapless ball gown with a voluminous feathered skirt.
The French star impressed many in a gauzy Balmain number with ruffles all around. Whimsical much? We think so!
The star stunned us all in a Balmain “wearable art” with sleeves that will make you the perfect arm-candy to any event!
Britain’s Emily Beecham won the Best Actress Award at Cannes, and in our minds, she also won for her vintage-esque dress. And she deserves a round of applause for the neckline embellishment and puffed sleeves combination!
Aaanddd, that’s a wrap on one of the most fashionable events of the year. But what’s truly exciting is to see how all this inspo will impact the style trends in the months to come!
