Packing Necessities For A Weekend In Galle Everything you’ll need for a stress-free trip. Getty Images The Galle Literary Festival begins tomorrow and many of you are probably heading down south for the entire length of the event or just for the weekend. Hello, sun and sea! Packing can always be a bit of a nightmare, whether it’s for a couple of days out-of-town, a business trip or a month overseas. We’ve got you covered on what essentials you need to take. Soon you’ll be packing like a pro in no time! Choose Proper Luggage If it’s for just a day or two, we’d definitely recommend a bag that’s easy to carry; preferably a duffel or backpack. Planning to do a fair bit of walking? Then it’s a good idea to stick with a backpack. The straps will distribute weight evenly across your shoulders and save you from any aches. As I head to my last class ever, I’d like to give a shoutout to my backpack, which not only managed to survive most of high school, The Island School and all of college, but has traveled with me everywhere I’ve been for years. And it’s still going strong. Thank you, reliable old friend! Here’s to a couple more adventures together. #swissgearbackpack A photo posted by Evan Wood (@evanbwood) on May 11, 2016 at 6:02am PDT Take A Water Bottle The heat can get pretty bad and if you’re planning to spend time in the sun, it’s always best to stay hydrated. Grab a lightweight, refillable bottle before you hit the road. You’ll thank yourself for it. Pack a zippered bag – any plastic bag will do, really – and you’re good to go. This is also a lifesaver when containing leaky liquids, like contact lens solution or body lotion. The spills won’t ruin your bag and clothes. 旅行に帰省に大活躍の #ziploc A photo posted by @takaivision on Jan 1, 2017 at 11:19pm PST A Sarong You can wear this large piece of fabric traditionally, draped across your waist and tucked into the folds, or in a host of other ways.
