Jump back to the 70’s !
What was initially meant to be an improvised two-day music festival by rock band Pearl Jam back in 1993, has now become the most anticipated spring event of the American West Coast. For the past 16 years, celebrities and individuals from all four corners of the world gather in the Coachella Valley in Southern California to celebrate music and arts over the span of two weeks. This time, it takes place from April 13th to April 22nd.
So, why do we all look forward to this event although we don’t even attend it? The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, known as Coachella, is first and foremost a music concert. Every year, more than a hundred artists perform live on the festival’s stage. On this first weekend, we’ve witnessed multiple outstanding performances from artists like Beyoncé who surprised us all with a Destiny’s Child reunion! They sang a medley of their best hits!
But, for some of us, Coachella is one big themed event which we mostly anticipate for the looks. Over the past few days, celebrities and the rest of the crowd really tried to outdo each other with their attire. A few of them, for instance, chose to experience various hair colours like Victoria’s Secret angel, Alessandra Ambrosio, or even YouTuber, Hannah Stocking, who fully embraced her mermaid-inspired look with a load of glitter! From bohemian sundresses to flowers crowns and floppy hats, festival-goers showcased some really “chill” boho-chic outfits and we love them!
We look forward to more festival looks and amazing performances from artists such as Eminem for this last weekend! In the meantime, let’s revisit some of our favourite looks from the past three days at Coachella, shall we?
